🚨SBF ASKS HIGH COURT TO KILL $11B FORFEITURE! Sam Bankman-Fried petitioned the U.S. Supreme Court for a new trial and to throw out the $11 billion FTX forfeiture. His lawyers say the trial judge let prosecutors talk about customer losses while blocking evidence that FTX and Alameda had enough assets to repay them, and they call the forfeiture an excessive fine. The Second Circuit upheld the 25-year sentence in June. The Court has not said it will take the case.
